Green Renovations – the New Way to Build in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi & Beyond

Here at ASI, we are committed to bringing you the latest in greenovations – that is, methods of green renovation that are dedicated to reducing the impact people have on the environment. The goal of green renovations is to reduce the stress put on the environment when you renovate by incorporating green construction methods into your restoration projects. This can also save you money.

When you make the choice to go green in Tampa, Birmingham, Jackson, Atlanta, or anywhere else in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, or Georgia, you may consider such greenovations as:

  • Repaint walls with low-VOC paint. This will improve the home’s appearance as well as air quality. The low-VOC quality of these paints means that the volatile organic compounds will not bind to the atmosphere in the home to create harmful air conditions.
  • Choose solar-powered skylights. This greenovation promises up to a 35% savings on energy costs when installed into the home, and the added benefit of beautifying the home with natural sunlight is just another bonus.
  • Avoid furniture sprayed with formaldehyde and other flame retardants. While flame resistance is a common desirable quality when purchasing furniture, these chemicals are harmful to the environment. Look for companies that use eco-friendly flame retardants and/or fewer chemicals in general.

There are many other ways to greenovate homes and businesses, such as the greenovation of the Terra Verde farmhouse that ASI is proudly participating in, but these are just a few easy green renovations that you can get started with. Remember, the sky’s the limit when you want to greenovate. With a little research, you can achieve a lot. For more information about green renovation and products like composite wood fencing in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, or Mississippi, call or e-mail us. We look forward to answering your questions.
